The Order of Merit is used to search for candidates who are successful for the job but were not the preferred candidate. The order of merit statuses that can be set include:
| In Progress | All candidates that are successful post their assessment and the panel are now in the process of deciding who will be the preferred and who will be on the order of merit. |
| Available | Candidates that are on the order of merit. |
| Placed | This is the preferred candidate who has accepted the position. |
| Decline | This should be set if the preferred candidate has declined the offer. This status can also be used for candidates that no longer want to be on the order of merit. |
Order of merit statuses can also be set manually. If a rule is setting the status, it can always be updated manually on the candidate card in the OOM tab.
