OVERVIEW
Introducing Sean Osborne
Acendre is building out a rejuvenated, stronger Product Management team as part of our increased focus to ensure we build the best possible products and solutions for our customers.
We'd like to introduce Sean Osborne, our Vice President of Product Management, based in our US office.
Sean has over 10 years of experience working in senior product management positions in the computer software sector. Most recently, Sean managed the leading global student recruitment product for higher education and has experience delivering many complex projects and engaging with multi-discipline high-performance teams across the globe.
Early in his career, Sean managed a real-time mobile collaboration product for law enforcement and the military. He remembers a senior state police official holding a smartphone running his software and telling him "Sean, you've got to think of the cop using this. If it isn't easy and doesn't help 'em do their job, he's just going to throw this thing to the side and ignore it." Sean takes this to heart and believes that products should be easy to use and add real value to those who pay for them above all else.
Sean is in Melbourne frequently, and when in town, is looking forward to meeting Acendre customers.

People Analytics Update
Navigating to Standard Reports
We're making it easier to find and navigate to the standard report suite.
Until now, standard reports for your recruitment processes were found under the Talent Analytics folder. For those using our Perform module, standard perform reports were found under Standard Reports – Perform.
The time, however, has come to rename these folders so that they're easier to find and remember. How, you ask?
- The Talent Analytics folder will now be named Standard Recruit Reports
- The Standard Reports – Perform folder will now be named Standard Perform Reports
See what we did there? Just to be sure, you'll still see the same sub-folders under the new names.
New Standard Reports - Tools and Utilities
There are also a bunch of new standard reports to help you manage your Analytics module. You'll find the following under Standard Recruit Reports (was Talent Analytics) > 6. Tools and Utilities.
You can use these reports to:
- receive a summary of your broadcasts
- see which global questions have been added to your views, how many are used and which ones could be removed to free up space
- how often your job templates are used, and which jobs/processes used them
- how many reports you have, where they are, when they were last accessed and by whom.
For a full breakdown of these reports, see the following sections. You will find additional details by navigating in your system to Help > Knowledge Base > Analytics > Standard Recruit Report Suite > 6. Tool and Utilities.
Broadcasts
Broadcast List (Drill Through)
See a summary of all report broadcasts that are set up in your system, including where the report is stored, who receives it, how often, and the file type used with.
Use this to regularly review your broadcasts and ensure that settings like the recipients receiving them are up-to-date.
You can also drill through on each individual broadcast to see its last run status via the subject line. (Last run means the last time that the broadcast was scheduled or manually ran.)
Broadcast List – Last Run Details
Use this report to monitor the last-run status across all broadcasts. Details on the last-run descriptions will appear in the report description.
You will see the broadcasts that successfully ran, and for those that didn't whether it is because:
- the report is in draft
- the recipient doesn't have permission to view/receive the report
- delivery rules weren't met
- any other reason that may require further analysis.
Global Question Use
How many global questions have you added to your reporting views? Do you use them all? And have they been added in the right context (e.g. application instead of job)?
Custom Global Questions Summary (Drill Through)
Use this report to explore your global question use in the Analytics module. You'll immediately see:
- How many questions have been added to a view and are used in a report
- How many questions have been added to a view but are not used in a report
- A list of the questions (fields) and a summary of
- use
- contexts (application, job, user and global assessment form)
- views
- reports
There are several drill through options from this report.
- On the chart - questions not used
- Click on the Not Used section of the donut chart to view a list of all matching questions that haven't been used in a report, including the context and views they've been added to.
- Use this report to help determine whether these questions need to be enabled for reporting or can be removed.
- On the table – contexts, views and reports
Click on:
- Contexts column to see the contexts for that field and whether it is used in that context. Drill through again to see related views or reports.
- Active Views column to see the active views for that field whether it is used from that view.
- Reports column to see the reports using that field, if any
Use these reports to ensure that all questions enabled for reporting are required, in the right views and in the right context. If some contexts, views or questions/fields are no longer required, speak to your Client Success Manager.
Job Template Use
We've now developed the ability to report on Job Templates, which means you can now explore your job template use over time, as well as look up the jobs that have been created from a job template (or vice versa)!
Job Template Usage (Drill Down)
See a list of active job templates and their use year-on-year, by number of jobs created and % of the total for that period.
*Jobs created from no template or a deleted job template will be grouped together under {No Template or Template Deleted}.
- Drill down on the year to see month-to-month use, then day-to-day.
Job Template Lookup (Drill Through)
See how many jobs were created from each job template. You can filter to specific job templates and/or job created between certain dates.
- Click through on the number of jobs created to see a list of the matching jobs for each job template.
- Alternatively, filter by specific job reference(s) to see the matching job template.
Report Use and Location
Reports Not Accessed (Drill Through)
View the top 20 (by default) custom reports that have not been accessed for the longest time.
- See the number of days since a report was accessed and when, where it is stored, and when it was last modified
- Drill through to see which users have accessed it and when they last accessed it
- You can also filter by:
- Report Category and Sub-Category
- Report Name
- User (Requestor)
- Adjust the number of reports returned e.g. top 10 or 50.
Use this report to guide a clean-up of reports, i.e. to help determine if there are reports that you no longer need and can be moved to an archive folder, consolidated with other reports or deleted.
Reports Summary by Category and Sub-Category (Drill Through)
See a summary of reports by category and status, as well as a breakdown by sub-category and status (sectioned by category).
- Drill through on the bar chart to see a list of matching reports for that category/sub-category and report status.
- Drill through again on # Accessed By to see which user has accessed this report and when it was last accessed.
Like Reports Not Accessed earlier, you can use these reports to:
- guide a clean-up of reports
- identify reports that need to be moved to a more-suitable category and/or sub-category
- identify reports in draft that need to be finalized and activated, or
- identify if there are reports that can be deleted.
Standard Perform Reports – Additions and Enhancements
The following additional reports and enhancement have been made to the Standard Perform Reports suite (was Standard Reports – Perform) for those using the Perform module.
5.5 Questionnaire Answers
Report on the questions and answers from any questionnaire for a given employee and review.
5.5.1 Questionnaire Answers – Excel Format
This presents the same data as 5.5 Questionnaire Answers, but in a format where duplicates are not suppressed, e.g. Employee Name will be repeated for that Employee's answers. This allows easier manipulation in Excel when the report is exported in Excel format.
- To access, run 5.5 Questionnaire Answers and click on the 5.5.1 Questionnaire Answers – Excel Format tab. Any filters applied to 5.5 will be copied over.
4.1.1 Employee Review Detailed Results – Excel Format
Similarly, 4.1.1 takes the results of another report (4.1 Employee Review Details Results) and presents it without duplicates suppressed, i.e. Employee Name will be repeated across rows.
- To access, run 4.1 Employee Review Details Results and click on the 4.1.1 Questionnaire Answers – Excel Format tab. Any filters applied to 4.1 will be copied over.
Filter Enhancements
Filter value pre-population has been enhanced to improve performance across all Standard Perform Reports.
bugs
- NT-15509: We have proactively updated text on global questions information icons to improve the user experience.
- NT-15083: We had received feedback that when a candidate moves back within a browser session in the candidate portal after submitting the application, the candidate status moves to In-progress in th backend. This issue had been rectified in the release.
- NT-15211: We had received feedback on a performance issue encountered while packaging PDF. We identified the root cause of the issue and have fixed the issue.
- NT-15273: We had received feedback from a customer regarding the email subject heading not displaying properly when a merge field for surname is included with an apostrophe in it. We have resolved the issue.
- NT-15305: We had received feedback from a customer that when a candidate is applied from one job to another, the dynamic parent- child relationships within the target job (application form) is not taken into consideration. This had a direct impact on reporting. We have identified and fixed the issue.
- NT-15307: We had received feedback from a customer that while importing a candidate file from the backend, the process was failing without any error message. The root cause of the issue was that the candidate's answer to a question had exceeded maximum word limit. We have fixed the issue and included proper validation for a better user experience.
- NT-15355: As per the new SEEK API, the minimum and maximum salary ranges cannot be the same. This feature has been updated and takes salary selection from the current band and the next band.
- NT-15406: We had received feedback from a customer that backend log history had few entries performed by 'Guest Account.' We have identified the root cause of the issue and have fixed it.
- NT-15319: We had received feedback from a customer that a certain Yellowfin report was picking up manager details associated with position, rather than the manager details appearing in the attached review. We have fixed this issue.
