System Announcements:
We have introduced a new feature to the Acendre ecosystem where Acendre can send system announcements to you via the system. The functionality has been built to improve communication with you for messages such as planned outages notification, release notes and other notices.
We have designed this functionality in a way that you have the flexibility to manage who receives these messages. Too enable this functionality, please follow these instructions.
How to configure to receive the messages
Logon to the system and navigate to the "System Configuration \ User Group Manager" page.
From the "User Group Manager" page, select the "user group" you wish to edit.
From within the "User Group," click on the Action of "Module Permissions."
Scroll down the list of modules and locate "System Outage Message," make sure the check box is selected and then click on "Save."
This will now be enabled and new messages will be received by this permissions group.
What is displayed when a message appears
When the user logs into the system, they will receive the following type of message. The message has three (3) options:
- AGREE: This action has been defined as: the user has read the message and the system will record this in the database. The window will disappear and not return.
- REMIND ME LATER: This action has been defined as: the window will disappear and will return after 24 hours.
- X : This action has been defined as: the window will disappear and will return after the next login.
Acendre Performance
System Announcements:
We are introducing a new feature to the Acendre ecosystem where Acendre can send system announcements to you via the system. The functionality has been built to improve communication with you for messages such as planned outages notification, release notes and other notices.
For Acendre Performance, we have enabled the System Announcements feature only to System Administrators.
What is displayed when a message appears
When the user logs into the system, the user will receive the following type of message. The message has three (3) options:
- AGREE: This action has been defined as: the user has read the message and the system will record this in the database. The window will disappear and not return.
- REMIND ME LATER: This action has been defined as: the window will disappear and will return after 24 hours.
- X : This action has been defined as: the window will disappear and will return after the next login.
Region and Time Zone setting:
We have added additional fields within the "Managing User" screens to take into account regional and Time Zones setting.
Parent Goal Filter
A new filter, 'Parent Goal,' is now available to assist with robust and detailed searches.
The new filter, 'Parent Goal,' is added to Goal list search forms on following pages:
Admin Portal
- Goals Library
- Associating goals to position
- Selecting goals to add to goal setting step in a review and review template
Employee Portal
- Adding user review level goals as employee/manager
The filter list for parent goals has
- Goals that are active and have been made parent goals for other goal will be listed in 'Parent Goal' filter
- Goals that are made parent goal for user review goal should not be listed in 'Parent Goal' filter unless (Unless parent goal has at least one child goal that is not User review goal).
If a goal has an associated parent goal, inside the user review, 'Parent goal' field will be available and will display parent goal name.
Goal Description
A description column is now available on the goal screen in order to provide a snapshot of goal details in a single screen.
A description column has been added to goal list in following places:
Admin Portal
- Goals Library
- Associating goals to position
- Selecting goals to add to goal setting step in a review and review template
Employee Portal
- Adding user review level goals as employee/manager
The column is also sortable and is available under 'Customise' list.
Bench marking Goals
We have introduced a new feature called benchmark. This new feature provides guidelines for rating each role.
For example, for a measure of 1 to 5, benchmark will provide guidelines to managers at the review level to rate each employee per goal.
Benchmarks are configured in measure as shown below.

Delete action on reviews
A new feature has been introduced in this release which provides managers with the associated permissions to have the ability to delete reviews from admin portal.
The new delete button is red and is easily found on the associated forms.

Following on the "Delete action on reviews" feature, we have also introduced the ability to delete the review template from the admin portal.

Average Scoring Formula
Acendre Performance currently uses percentages when calculating an overall score. We are introducing a new feature called 'Average Scoring formula' which provides the ability to calculate the overall score as an average.
The feature can be configured at the review template as shown in the screen below.
Manager Self-Service: Updated Review Roles
A new review level configuration "User Information on Review" has been created. It has two options:
At Time Review Starts – enables current behaviour where position details do not change on a review
Always Current – new configuration which keeps position details current.
With the "Always Current" configuration, an employee's manager and manager's manager on active reviews will be updated when the employee is assigned from one supervisor to another via Manager Self-Service.
Notes:
No other review data will be changed. This includes, but is not limited to, signature, critical elements and ratings.
Role details on Reviews
We have introduced a new feature which provides visibility on the different roles assigned to a review.
The roles section on review has details of all the different roles for the review - employee, manager, manager's manager.
In the coming releases, we will be implementing new features around assigning roles. If you would like to know more please contact your account manager and we can organise a demo of the up and coming features.
Goal level setting on review template
We have introduced a list of new features on the review. These features provide flexibility and different capabilities to perform multiple task on a review.
Here is the list of features:
- Goals can be added by user: Ability for the employee to add goals during goal setting phase
- Can edit library goals: Ability to edit goals on a review
- Minimum goal limit: Minimum number of goals which need to be on a review
- Can create non-rated goals: Ability to add goals which are not rated
- Limit measure for new goals: Define the default measure to be used while creating new goals at review level
- Allow override performance Benchmark: Ability to override benchmarks on goals within reviews
Appraisal phase in review template: Summary type step
We have introduced a new feature which has multiple options at the summary step within the review template. These features, explained below, provide the capability to override final scores by a particular role.
- Support final score override: Ability to override the final scores of an appraisal. This has two options (yes and no).
- If the yes option is selected, the 'Can override score' section becomes editable and you can select the role which can override the final scores.
Position details on reviews
The position field on reviews is now a hyperlink which, at a click of a button, provides a summary of the position.
Performance Diary Entry Association with Goals
With this release, we have added:
- The ability for employees to link performance diary entries with goals.
- The ability for a manager to see an employee's public diary entries associated with goals during a review.
- The ability for employees to see their public and private journal entries associated with goals during a review.
Any employee can now create and associate goals from the "My Performance Diary" section of the homepage or from the Performance Diary page in full.
When creating a diary entry, an employee may optionally associate the entry with a goal by:
- Choosing the active review for which they which to associate the goal
- Choosing the goal step
- Selecting the goal
Manager can see any public diary entry associated with elements during the end-of-year phase.
Employees can see public and private diary entries during their end-of-year process.
Acendre Performance Screen Enhancements
Behind the scenes, we have updated a few minor controls within the product to move our User Interface (UI) design into an easier to use product.

We have changed the searching control for the "Report To" to be more user friendly, where you can start typing and the search box will narrow down the list items.

BUGS
Acendre Performance
- GSD-127: We had received feedback from a customer that when a new questionnaire was added to an appraisal phase of a review and that questionnaire was included within an "Agreed Step,' the system could throw an error message. We have identified the root cause and have fixed the issue.
Acendre Recruitment
- GSD-134: We have found that under certain conditions, when a candidate withdraws their application and if they are rolled back and re-submit the application, the system still thinks the application is withdrawn. We have identified the root cause and fixed the issue.
- GSD-406: We had received feedback from a customer that when a candidate misses answering a mandatory dynamic related question within the registration form and then submits that form, the portal will throw an error. We have identified the root cause and have fixed the issue.
- GSD-482: We had received feedback from a customer that the candidate list can have issues sorting on certain scoring criteria. The team has fixed this issue and sorting by scores is now working as expected.
- GSD-552: We identified an issue within the SEEK job add screen that was preventing the minimum and maximum salary ranges to display as per the new SEEK API requirements. We have adjusted some of the conditioning affecting the display to match SEEK requirements.
- GSD-99: We had noticed that when completing assessment forms for candidates, if the user hovers over the Application Form or Resume icon labels, the label text was not displaying. The team identified the issue and labels now display for the respective icons.
- GSD-448: We had received feedback from a customer that under some circumstances, text global question validation was not behaving correctly and an error message was displayed. We have identified the root cause and fixed the issue.
- GSD-426: We had received feedback from a customer that when editing forms, if the user hovered over dynamic parent/child questions, html formatting codes may be displayed instead of the expected question reference. The team has fixed this issue so that the correct information is now displayed
