Goal Library Definitions

Below is a breakdown of what each of the fields mean and some examples when creating a goal:


Field

Description

Examples

Name

Name of the Goal.

Appears in Employee Review as name of goal and in goal hierarchy chart.

  • Customer Satisfaction
  • System Performance
  • XXX Project Completion

Description

Explanation of the goal as shown to the Employee.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • System Performance consistent with Industry Best Practice
  • Deliver XXX Project on schedule

Pillar

Pillar to which goal applies.

  • Create Innovative Products
  • Manage company finances according to business plan
  • Deliver great customer experience

Measure

Associates a Measure with a Goal.

  • Different measures can be applied for different goals

Parent Goal

Used to create Cascading Goals. Employees see Goal hierarchy when they click on goal description

  • Drive growth in customer base
  • Deliver positive net contribution
  • Create best-in-class point solutions

Goal Type

Select Organization or Position Goal

Position Goals appear in Employee Goal as assigned to positions. Organization Goals do not.

Position

Positions selected will have the goal copied to their employee reviews

  • Managing Director
  • Client Advisor
  • Developer

Is Active

If goal is active when review is created for user, the goal applies to that review.

  • Controlling when a goal is active is useful for goals that are specific to certain reviews / quarters


Adding a Goal

To add a goal follow the steps below:


  1. Click on Reference Material tab.

     


  2. Click on Goals.




  3. Click + Add Goal.




  4. Complete the mandatory fields then click Submit.
