Search Form usability enhancements
Search Forms are used throughout the system to allow users to search for specific items in things like the Job and Requisition lists or Candidate and Task lists. In this release we have made some enhancements to this functionality that improve usability and reduce the number of clicks a user needs to make in order to perform a basic search. Basic Keyword searching will now be available to users upfront – eliminating the need to click a button to show this field. Advanced searching is available by selecting the Show Advanced Search link.
Some other changes have been made to improve layout and bring the search screen in line with the new user interface by replacing filter Remove buttons with Trashcan symbols and by changing the appearance and position of the Add Filter button.
Session expiry notifications
Users will now see a session expiry note appearing on their screen 10 minutes prior to the session timeout. Sessions expire after 2 hours of no system activity and often result in users losing data due to the lack of warning. This enhancement will provide a 10 minute countdown and a button to Stay Connected.
Following the 10 minute countdown, if a User hasn’t chosen to stay connected, a session expired notification will appear.
Records per page settings
Following feedback regarding accessing the Records per page option in system lists, we have made several enhancements to this feature to improve accessibility and ease of use.
Records per page now appears at the top of the menu options and has been changed from a drop down to a quick link display.
Adaptive view list filters
When selecting Adaptive View in a list, the system displays columns based on resolution or device being used. Columns that do not fit comfortably on screen are collapsed and can be accessed via the ‘+’ symbol. Using this type of view has meant that filter dropdown menus have disappeared for collapsed columns.
In this release we have rectified this by introducing a new filter option that pulls all filters into a single area located on the left side of the list. This new filter option will appear when the Adaptive View is being utilized and filters cannot comfortably fit within the header bar.
Job Title added to My Recent Items
In order for users to more easily identify the correct record, Job Title has been added to ‘My Recent Items’ on the Homepage.
