Summary
Adaptive and Fixed Views for system lists
Users will have greater flexibility in defining how system lists (eg. Candidate list, Jobs List) appear with the introduction of Adaptive and Fixed Views.
Navigation and form input improvements
The Navigation menu and breadcrumb trail will now always appear at the top of the screen when scrolling through long pages, making it easier for users to move through the system without unnecessary scrolling.
When completing forms within the system, users will also notice some styling changes designed to improve ease of use and ensure consistency through the system.
Adaptive and Fixed Views for system lists
In this deployment, we introduce Adaptive and Fixed views for system lists such as the Candidate List and Jobs List. These views allow users to better define the way columns are displayed within a list.
Users will notice a change in the icon for selecting list columns which now presents as a drop down rather than a pop up window. When clicking on this icon, users will now be presented with the options to change between Adaptive and Fixed views as well as being able to select which columns should be displayed and how many records can be viewed per page.
When selecting Adaptive View, the system will display columns based on resolution or device being used. Columns that do not fit comfortably on screen will be collapsed and can be accessed via the ‘+’ symbol.
When selecting Fixed View, the system will display all selected column and provide a scroll bar at the bottom of the screen for users to access visible columns. If using Fixed View on a tablet the user can view the columns by swiping left/right on the tablet, without the need to scroll down to the bottom for a scroll bar.
By default, all lists will be set to Adaptive View until preference will be used with viewing other lists within the system.
Navigation improvements
When scrolling through long pages on a screen, users will now notice that the Navigation menu and visible breadcrumb trail will now remain at the top of the screen, allowing users to easily move within the system and reducing the need for unnecessary scrolling.
When completing forms within the system, users will also notice some styling changes designed to improve ease of use and ensure consistency through the system. These changes include shadow highlighting for currently selected fields, allowing users to easily see which field within a form they are currently inputting into.
