Jobs: by Period/Comparison
Volume of jobs by a specified job field compared over selected periods.
Key purpose
Compare the breakdown of jobs for a specified job field, by month opened and compared to another time period.
Charts
Multi-pie chart (or stacked column/bar chart).
By month job open for filtered period.
Total for comparison period.
Labels are volume/percentage only
Colour indicates segment name as per chart legend.
The Fancy Stuff
Table includes count of jobs and calculated percentage of column total.
Comparison period data is generated via a union query
Filters are linked between the master and union query
Comparison period filter value (e.g. This Calendar Year) is embedded in the report canvas via parameter replacement text.
Results are ordered by hidden numbered columns.

Pie and multi-pie charts are only recommended for metrics with up to four segments. Alternative chart types are stacked column or bar charts for metrics with a larger number of segments.
