Release Timing

This release will occur at the following times on Tuesday 15th October:

 QLD Clients - between 6.00pm -8.00pm (QLD Time);

 WA Clients - between 6.00pm – 8.00pm (WA Time); and

 For clients in all other locations – between 6.00pm – 8.00pm (AEDT)

During this time, you may experience downtime for up to two minutes. Whilst this downtime is minimal, we recommend that wherever possible, any large or critical system tasks be completed before close of business on the day of a deployment or commenced the day after.

Summary

Encryption of Candidate Passwords

What It Is: Candidate passwords are emailed to candidates in plain text upon registration and during email communications when the ‘Include Applicant Login Details in this Email’ option has been ticked. To reduce the risk associated with candidate passwords being viewed in plain text, candidate passwords will be encrypted and the tick box option “Include Applicant Login details in the email” will be removed from the Create and Preview email screen and at the email template level.

This functionality can be turned on for your system upon request.

It is recommended that clients conduct an audit of existing emails to remove any reference to login details being included in email content.

IMPORTANT: Once the functionality of candidate password encryption is turned on it cannot be reversed. This change will not affect the current functionality of candidates resetting their passwords via the ‘Forgotten your password? Click here’ link on the candidate portal.
