5. Distributing Dashboards
Before you share
Before sharing a dashboard, consider who you will be sharing it with and their access permissions, and compare them with the dashboard tab and the reports on it. Users will need to have access to the sub-category/sub-categories where both the dashboard tab and reports are stored in order to see the dashboard and reports respectively.
Check where the dashboard and reports are stored and if any access security settings are applied, and if so, which users can access them.
Sharing dashboards with other users
To share a dashboard tab with other users, select Share in the top right corner of the tab.
Â
To place a the chosen tab on another user's analytics Dashboard screen, choose distribute and then enter their user name.
If your dashboard is set to Private (rather than Public), you can determine whether the user has read, update or delete access to the dashboard.
You can also distribute to a pre-determined group of users.
Add Users and/or Groups as required and click Submit.
The dashboard tab will now appear on the specified user's dashboard page.
