7. Troubleshooting Broadcasts

To review all of your broadcast settings, use the Broadcast tools as outlined in the Analytics Tools | Broadcasts section. Available for those using the Acendre Analytics module only. To review alerts, see Analytics Tools | Broadcast Alerts by Last Broadcast.

To review existing broadcasts on a report, go to the Broadcast section of the Report Output menu.

  • If a message advises that a recipient does not have access to view this report, check the report's distribution settings, outlined back here - 1. Enabling Broadcasts

  • If a broadcast has not sent when it was expected to, check the broadcast here and look for any messages regarding its last run time.

It may be that a delivery rule prevented the broadcast from sending. Or, for some reason, there might be a run failure or an error retrieving results.

You can:

  • review the report to ensure it returns results. If not, edit the report to see if it needs to be updated in any way to return results. Some reports may be quite advanced and place a heavy load on the server.

  • click Run now to resend the broadcast to intended recipients. Run the report first before doing this.

  • set the broadcast to run at a different time. Popular broadcast times are from 5-9am; if possible, set your broadcast to run at a different time.
