Release Timing

This release will occur on Wednesday 13th August between 9.00pm and 11.00pm (AEST).

During this time, you will not be able to access reports for up to one hour. Whilst this downtime is minimal, we recommend that wherever possible, you complete any reporting activity before close of business on the day of a deployment and recommence the day after.

Summary

The release of NGA.NET Talent Analytics Version 6.3 represents an exciting step forward in the analytics capability of eRecruit.

Significant improvements and enhancements have been made to the overall functionality, usability and user experience of the Talent Analytics module.

The key points to note are as follows:

 Collaboration and Usability: A redesigned user interface to allow you to build reports more easily, providing new ways to collaborate and share information with other users.

 New Ways to Present Data: Powerful new features including Storyboards, Report Summaries, Dashboard Header and Column Locking, new chart types, and more.

 Dashboard Improvements: Dashboard sub-tabs and a redesigned dashboard builder will allow greater flexibility in how dashboards are used.

New Ways to Present Data

Storyboards

Storyboards are a new integrated presentation and collaboration platform which allow you to create presentations within NGA.NET Talent Analytics with embedded reports, images, videos and custom text.

 Corporate branding and styling guides can be easily adhered to with the use of themes.

 Themes can be used across multiple storyboards, taking the formatting out of users’ hands so they can concentrate on their content.

Dashboard Header and Column Locking

This feature is similar to the ‘freeze panes’ feature in Excel which allows you to lock the report headers and columns on your Dashboard, so that you can move around a report, scrolling up or down and from side-toside, without losing the header and column names.

Report Summaries

Report Summaries encapsulate the key metrics and trends within a tabular or chart-style report.

 Report Summaries are displayed as mini KPI-type charts along the top of a report.

 Users can customize each Report Summary, selecting the primary and secondary metrics, key dimension breakdowns and aggregations.

New Charts

 Heat Grid: Plots the intensity of a metric across multiple categories, allowing the user to analyse the intensity of a combination of up to two metrics across a maximum of four dimensions.

 Proportional Infographic: Taking an image defined by the user, this chart displays segments on a vertical or horizontal scale, assigning size by a metric value, and colour to a category.

 Comparative Infographic: Taking an image defined by the user, this chart displays a shape for each category value, spaced and sized according to a metric value.

Dashboard Improvements

Dashboard Builder

The new Dashboard Builder allows users to quickly and simply link reports across dashboards – enabling faster, more powerful and intuitive content creation.

Dashboard Sub Tabs

Sub Tabs allow users to create multiple tabs within a single dashboard tab. This allows you to set a filter on a dashboard tab and for the filter setting to be retained when switching between sub tabs.

Usability

Browse Page

Talent Analytics version 6.3 contains a new Browse page to enhance the usability of the Report List.

 While retaining all previous functionality, a new thumbnail layout has been added to make identifying content easier.

 The list itself now encompasses Report, Dashboard, and Storyboard content, rather than being restricted to just reports.

Please note that you can toggle between the browse page, list, and folder layouts by selecting the Layout button in the top right corner or the screen.

The Email Template offers a rebrandable format by which users can receive report broadcasts, ensuring consistency with corporate e-mail branding.
