Summary

Customising the XML Jobs Feed

What It Is: The XML Jobs Feed has been enhanced to accommodate customisation. In addition to the standard fields, customers will now be able to request that other global questions be added to the feed.

The Benefits: Ensures that relevant and sufficient information is available for use on job boards and websites where the XML may be used.

Changes to the default file name when exporting candidates

What It Is: When exporting candidates, the default CSV file name has been changed to contain the Job Title.

The Benefits: This change helps users identify which export files relate to which job, without the need to manually change the file name when saving.

What It Is: The link that a candidate receives when requesting to reset their password will now have limited validity and by default will be set to expire after 60 minutes or upon password being reset. The link will also contain a Password Reset Request ID in place of User ID.

The Benefits: This feature provides better security against unauthorised access to a candidate’s eRecruit candidate portal account.

Customising the XML Jobs Feed

Customers and Job Board vendors often reach out to us requesting the ability to have Jobs appear on different Job Lists, Job Boards or websites. Some time ago we released the XML Jobs Feed feature, which meant, by accessing the specific URL, a feed of the jobs being posted to your Candidate Portal could be accessed in real time and displayed on a separate site or Job Board. This feed contained standard information such as Job Title, Job Reference and Job Description.

In this deployment, we have enhanced this feature by allowing customisation. Customers are now able to request specific job related Global Questions be added to the XML Jobs Feed, meaning information such as salary bands, location or job categories can now be included.

The XML Jobs Feed is a licensable feature and can provide a cost effective and efficient solution to automatically posting jobs to various sites. If you are interested in exploring the use of this feature, further information can be obtained from your Account Manager.

For customers who are currently using the XML Jobs Feed and require customisation please contact your Account Manager.

Changes to the default file name when exporting candidates

When exporting candidates from a candidate list (Job or Talent Warehouse), changes have been made to the file name format that will help users identify which export files relate to which job.

When downloading the file from the Messages Tab, users will notice that the default file name now contains the Job Title along with the date and time the file was created. Users can save the file without the need for renaming, thus reducing the risk of errors occurring.

Security measures for Candidate Password Reset link

Should a candidate forget their password, a facility is available on the candidate portal for them to reset it.

When requesting to reset a password, the candidate is sent a link via email. Following this deployment, this link will, by default, expire after 60 minutes or upon the password being reset. Changes have also been made to the information displayed in the link and will contain a Password Reset Request ID in place of User ID.

Candidates attempting to access an expired link will be asked to request a new link.

Please note: By default, the expiry of the Password Reset link will be set to 60 minutes. If you wish to change this, please contact the Support Team on 1800 642 638.
