Release May 2014

Summary

This priority update to your eRecruit system will involve an upgrade to the WYSIWYG Editor. Users will notice the following changes when using the WYSIWYG Editor in all areas of the system:

Paste from Word

The Paste from Word button is no longer available in the new WYSIWYG Editor. To paste text from Word, users can use Ctrl + V or the standard Paste button. Users should note that when pasting from Word, some styling may not be supported by the WYSIWYG Editor. In this case, it is recommended to paste as plain text and reformat using the WYSIWYG Editor tool bar.

Paste as Text toggle button

The WYSIWYG Editor includes a new feature called “Paste as Text”. This button is a toggle and when selected (when turned on the button will appear in a darker grey colour) the Editor will be placed in plain text mode. When using Ctrl + V or the standard Paste button, any formatting will be stripped out and only text will be pasted in.

To turn the Paste as Text toggle off, simply click the button again. Any pasting performed when the toggle is off will contain formatting.

It is recommended that spelling be checked prior to entering text into the WYSIWYG Editor.
