Scores

Rules can also be used to calculate and display candidate scores, allowing candidates to be shortlisted by there score or ranked in an order of merit.  These are very useful in large recruitment campaigns, e.g. graduate intakes.

Creating a score rule

  1. Firstly, ensure that the Uses Scores checkbox on the Manage Assessment Process screen is ticked.

Use this field to specify the number of decimal places that will be displayed on candidate scores. This allows for greater accuracy when ranking your candidates.

  2. Click the +Add Rule link against the assessment step that you want to add the rule to.

  3. This will display the Manage Rule page. Enter a name for this rule here.

  4. Select the source for this rule. This will often be an assessment form that is attached to this step, where a recruiter/ assessor have ranked the candidate against a set of criteria using a multiple choice question.

  5. A drop-down list of the questions from the Source (e.g. Shortlist form), will appear below.

  6. This will display the answers associated with the selected question.

  7. Enter the scores that you want to assign to each answer in the Scores boxes here.

  8. Click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.

Linking the score to a Selection Criteria

A score can be linked to a selection criteria if selected in the requisition process or the job creation process. This means when a job is created from this template the score rules will drop off and not calculate if that selection criteria option is not selected.

To link the selection criteria score to a rule follow the steps below:

  1. On the rule click on the criteria dropdown.
  2. Select the criteria to link the rule to and click Save.

This rule will now appear here under the assessment step

Once the rule with the score is setup the next step will be to set the rule and step weighting Step and Rule Weighting
