This deployment
This deployment will occur on the evening of Tuesday 15th May 2012 and will include the following enhancements to your System:
Providing the ability to update Job Roles within a Requisition: Providing specific Users with the ability to update or change Users allocated to Job Roles within a live Requisition.
Providing tighter controls around User permissions to configure or edit Requisition and Assessment Processes:
Providing Customers with the ability to place tighter controls around which Users have access to configure and edit Requisition and Assessment Process Templates and instances.
Providing the ability to update Job Roles within a Requisition
Often the scenario arises whereby a User involved in the Requisition process and assigned to a Job Role needs to be changed whilst a Requisition is in progress. This enhancement eliminates the need to roll a Requisition Process back to the Manage Roles step in order to make changes. A new function permission called ‘Update Job Roles on Available Reqs’ will be available under the Requisition Module. In order for a User to make changes to Job Roles within a Requisition, they must have this new function permission assigned. The User will also need to be able to access the Requisition from the Requisition List.
To make changes to Job Roles within a Requisition, the User should select the Reference Number of the appropriate Requisition.
This will display the View Requisition Details screen, where the user will have access to an Action link called ‘Update Job Roles’.
By clicking on this link, the User will be taken to a Manage Roles screen where, depending on Customer settings, changes can be made by either clicking on the 'Change' link or by using a drop down to select a different User. Clicking Save will apply any changes with immediate effect and clicking Cancel will return the User to the View Requisition Details screen.
Please Note: The Update Job Roles link will only be available if Job Roles have been defined and the Manage Roles step completed.
Providing tighter controls around User permissions to configure or edit Requisition and Assessment Processes
This enhancement provides Customers with the ability to place tighter controls around which Users or User Groups have access to configure and edit Requisition and Assessment Process Templates and instances. Two new Requisition related function permissions will be introduced in this deployment. A new function permission called ‘Configure Requisition Templates’ will be available under System Module permissions.
This will provide access to the ‘Requisition Process Templates’ link, enabling a User with System Module access to configure and edit Requisition Process Templates.
A second function permission called ‘Configure Available Requisition Processes’ will be available under the Requisition Module permission.
This will provide access to the ‘Configure Process’ link within an in-progress Requisition, enabling the User to access and edit the process for a particular Requisition.
IMPORTANT: On rollout of these changes, any User or User Group with access to the System module AND the ‘View all Requisitions’ function permission will be granted access to the 'Configure Available Requisition Processes' and 'Configure Requisition Templates' function permissions. Any User or User Group with the ‘View all Requisitions’ function permission but NO System module access, will be granted only the new 'Configure Available Requisition Processes' function permission.
Improvements will also be made to Assessment Process related permissions. The current ‘Configure Assessment Processes’ function permission will be renamed to 'Configure Available Assessment Processes' and will continue to give Users access to the ‘Edit Assessment Process’ option on the Candidate Group & Assessment menu of a Job.
This function permission will also continue to provide assess to the 'Edit Assessment Process' link within the Assessment Process Matrix of a Job.
A new function permission called 'Configure Assessment Templates' will be introduced under System Module Permissions.
This new permission will provide access to the ‘Assessment Process Templates’ link in the System tab.
It will also give access to the 'Assessment Process Templates' option on the 'Candidate Groups & Assessment' menu within a Job template, provided the user has access to edit Job Templates.
IMPORTANT: On rollout of these changes, any User or User group with access to the current 'Configure Assessment Processes’ function permission will continue to be able to edit assessment processes within a Job. Any User or User Group with access to both the Assessment Process Manager AND System module will be granted access to the new 'Configure Assessment Templates' function permission.
