This deployment
This deployment will occur on the evening of Tuesday 17 th January 2012 and will include the following enhancements to your System:
Single Sign On (SSO) merge tag for non task related emails: Allowing an SSO merge tag to be placed in non task related emails (e.g. Requisition Process emails, Job Status change emails). The SSO merge tag provides a link that Users can click on to be automatically logged in to the eRecruit system.
Reporting on the Tertiary custom question (including GPA score): Following last month’s announcement regarding Group question reporting, we are happy to also introduce the ability to report on the Tertiary custom question.
Ability to delete inaccessible incomplete jobs: Users with permission to delete Job Cards will now be able to also delete jobs that have experienced an error during creation and can not be accessed or completed.
Introduction of instructional text for reCAPTCHA: Following the introduction of reCAPTCHA technology in last month’s deployment we will be adding some instructional information to the Email a Friend and Forgotten Password pages of the Candidate Portal to advise Users that some internet settings can prevent the use of reCAPTCHA.
Single Sign On (SSO) merge tag in non task related emails
In this deployment we introduce the ability to insert an SSO merge tag into non task related emails such as Requisition Process and Job Status change emails. By adding this merge tag to emails, Users receiving the email will be provided with a link they can click on that will log the User automatically into the eRecruit system.
Email types that will support the new SSO link are:
Requisition Process
Reassign User Tasks
Package Merge Documents
Candidate Packaging
Test – Recruiter Results
Test - Recruiter Expiry
Ad Hoc User
Job Status Change
Application Reinstatement Request
When a User receives an email containing an SSO link they will be able to click on the link and be logged in to eRecruit automatically.
Upon logging in, the user will be taken to their Default Backend Homepage and will then be required to navigate to the relevant area of the system. Typically this will be the Home tab however the Default Backend Homepage can be set to the Task List, Jobs List or Requisition List by managing either the User or User Group settings. For infrequent users we recommend the default home page being set to the Task List.
When configuring emails and email templates, Users can add the SSO link by selecting the Insert Merge Field icon on the WYSIWYG editor and locating the SSO URL tag under System Fields Reference.
IMPORTANT: When adding the SSO URL merge tag to an email you must also make sure the Access Protocol and Site URL merge tags are also added as follows: [Access Protocol][Site URL][SSO URL]
TIP: To avoid long unattractive links in emails, remember that you can place these URL merge tags behind text such as “click here”. This can be done by highlighting the text you wish to have as the link, selecting the Insert/Edit Link button from the WYSIWYG editor and entering the merge tags into the Link URL field.
Please Note: SSO links in non-task emails must be activated before they will be available for use. To have this switched on, please contact your Account Manager on 1800 642 638.
Reporting on the Tertiary custom question (including GPA score)
In our last release we announced that group questions were now able to be used in reports. With this capability now available we have enabled the Tertiary Custom Question including GPA score information, to be reportable.
Please Note: A small amount of work will need to be performed by one of our Reporting Consultants to make the Tertiary custom question available to you in the Reporting module, therefore, should you wish to explore this further, please contact your Account Manager on 1800 642 638
Deleting inaccessible incomplete jobs
We have introduced the ability to delete incomplete jobs that have experienced an error during the creation process, preventing the completion of the job creation. This action will help Users keep the Jobs List clear of unwanted ‘clutter’ and remove the need to contact support to have these jobs removed. These errors typically occur if an internet browser’s Refresh button has been clicked while the System has been loading the Job Template. The Job appears as incomplete on the Jobs List but can not be opened or completed.
When trying to access one of these jobs, Users with permission to Delete Job Cards will be presented with the option to Delete the incomplete job. After selecting Delete, the User will be returned to the Jobs List where they will see a blue information bar confirming the job has been deleted.
Users who do not have permission to Delete Job Cards will be presented with a message asking them to contact their System Administrator to have the job deleted. Clicking the Back button will return the user to the previous screen.
Instructional text for reCAPTCHA screens
In this month’s deployment we will be adding some Instructional information to the Email a Friend and Forgotten Password screens of the Candidate Portal. A Users internet settings can sometimes prevent reCAPTCHA’s use and it is important that candidates are aware of this before trying to process a request from these screens
