Unlocking a User’s account

Unlocking a User’s account

If a user attempts to log onto the system with incorrect password more than 3 times, the system will lock them out and they will see the following message:

For this user to gain access, their account must first be unlocked.  To do this:

  1. Click the System icon at the top right hand side of the page.

2. Under the System heading, click the User Manager link.

3. This will display a list of all users that currently have access to the system.

4. You will notice the users who are locked will have a status of User Locked.

5. Click the Edit Link in the Action column.

6. On the Manage User screen, click the Status dropdown list and change the value from Locked to Active.

7. Once you have changed the status, click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.

ACENDRE QUICK TIP: When you unlock a System User, it is also a good idea to change their password at the same time to prevent this happening again.
