Email

This action is often used to in association with the Rollback Step action for the Decline and Amend option of the decision question to notify the user that changes are required. 


After selecting the source and decision question for this rule, you will need to add the action Edit the rule previously created for the Decline and Amend option and click the Add Action link:


  1. From the Action Type dropdown list, select Email User.




  2. To choose the pre-configured Email Template from a library, click the Select Requisition Process Email Template link. 




  3. This will take you to the Email Template List page, select the email you wish to use by clicking the Select link under the Action column here:




  4. This will take you to the Edit Email Template screen, where the chosen email template can be edited for this particular requisition template:




  5. Once the email template is ready, click the Save and Review button at the bottom. 




  6. This will then show you a preview of how this email will appear:




  7. Once you are happy with this email, click the Finish button at the bottom of the page.




  8. This will take you back to the Manage Rule Action page, the email template will appear.




  9. Select which designated user(s) should receive the email by choosing the appropriate step by clicking the Add Recipient link.



  10. Once you have completed configuring the email rule, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.




  11. This will return you to the Manage Rule screen, you will notice at the bottom of the rule; it will show the Email action.




  12. Return to the Manage Requisition Process by clicking the Requisition Process Template link at the top of the screen:
