Important announcements

Welcome to the first monthly deployment of 2011.

This deployment will occur on the evening of Tuesday 15 February. We will be sending out a reminder email about the deployment on Monday 14 February.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Account Manager or our Support team on 1800 642 638.

In this deployment

This deployment will cover the following enhancements to your system:

  • Assigning UDVs to Roles: Users will have the ability to assign User Defined Views (UDVs) to Roles. This will allow infrequent eRecruit Users to access the Candidate Card from the Task Candidate List in a restricted view.

  • View Form link for Selection Criteria: We are excited to announce that the View Form link for Selection Criteria is now available in Talent Search and Roles Steps within the Requisition workflow.

Upcoming enhancements

In the March deployment, we have some exciting new features to add to the system including:

  • Talent Search: It is important to note that as of the March deployment Talent Search will change on roll out and all customers using this module will be affected. These changes are the results of the feedback received from the User Community. More details of the changes to Talent Search will be covered in the next release note, which will be delivered to you on the 4th March, prior to the 15th March deployment.

Some key changes include:

    • The look & feel of the Talent Search feature;
    • The ability to create and apply simple templates for infrequent Users of eRecruit;
    • Improved interface, showing the search as it is being built;
    • The ability to save Search Templates, as well as Saved Searches; and
    • New ability for results to be returned by candidates.

  • Printer Friendly Forms: We are aiming to release Printer Friendly Forms to all systems in the March deployment. This means that backend Users of the system will be able to print forms from eRecruit, and candidates will be able to print applications and submitted forms as they appear on the screen. This feature will improve the way offline documents are managed, by having consistent and presentable printer formats.

Assigning UDVs to Roles

Users may be familiar with the ability to assign User Defined Views (UDVs) to Users and User Groups. We have completed work to enable Users to assign UDVs to Roles, so that infrequent Users of eRecruit can access a restricted view of the Candidate Card from the Task Candidate List.

UDVs for Roles are relevant when Panel Members need to access the Candidate Card from the Task Candidate List. By assigning a UDV to a Role, the view of the Candidate Card is restricted. As a result, Panel Members will not be able to see information they should not have access to (such as other jobs that candidates have applied for or the status of an application). By assigning a restricted UDV, Panel Members only have the ability to view the information allowed by the company.

This feature includes the ability to turn the Candidate Card link from the Task Candidate List on or off. On deployment, the Candidate Card link will be turned off. If you would like this turned on to enable your Users to assign UDVs to Roles, please contact our Support Team on 1800 642 638 or email support@nga.net.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We encourage Users to review the default UDV, before activating Roles UDV. Different UDVs can be created for different Roles.  See Figure 1.4 – 1.6 for more information.

The assignment of UDVs to Roles is configured in System – Configure Roles.

Users then click the Edit button next to the Role that they would like to assign a UDV to.

Users will then be taken to the Manage Roles page.  A new field will be available where Users can assign a Candidate Card UDV.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a User has a UDV assigned to them because they are either a Super User or have specific Job Permissions, that UDV will override the UDV assigned to a Role.

Review the default setting via System – User Defined View List.
