Multilingual Internationalisation Update
In our Multilingual Internationalisation release, fields were added to the Candidate registration form (Region, Time zone and Language), which caused some confusion for candidates and frustration for customers.
Â
A number of you have told us that when we rolled out the changes there was a negative impact on the way you were using the system. We are working as quickly as possible to hide the Region and Language fields on the Registration form.  At this stage it will not be available until the deployment on the 18th August, 2010.
Â
To minimize the impact to candidates, we have changed the wording so that the registration process is clearer; this will be available from Thursday 5th June, 2010.Â
The time zone field will continue to be available as it has a wider connection to candidate care and allows for jobs’ open and close times to be displayed in the correct time zone for each candidate.
Further Multilingual Internationalisation changes…
Following the Multilingual Internationalisation release, additional user interface changes have been made as follows:
Â
WYSIWYG Editor (What you see is what you get)
The WYSIWYG editor has had a User interface change. To allow for the WYSIWYG editor to be multilingual, we have removed some text from the box, so that the character count is numeric only.
This is what the editor currently looks like.Â
As of Thursday 5th August, 2010 where ever the WYSIWYG editor appears, the User interface will be changed to the new format where only the numerical count shows, as below:
Time zone to display on login
When Users login to eRecruit, their time zone will be displayed on the top left hand corner along with the welcome message. This will be visible to Users in all areas of the system.Â
NOTE: Users can change their displayed time zone in My Settings
Time zone display on the Candidate Portal
Currently when Candidates login to the Candidate Portal – they can view their emails, which display the time the email was sent to them.
Â
The changes mean that candidates will now be able to view the time zone that the email was sent.Â
Messages Tab Changes
The messages tab has new a look and feel to it. We have added a new Job Reference Number column to the Messages tab.
This will allow Users to easily identify which job the message relates to, even if the Job Name is the same.Â
